I’m Susanne and I’m the “Chief Rulebreaker” – or at least I’d like to call myself that. (If you want to find out more about what a Rulebreaker is for me, head here.)
Here is the short version of my life in bullet points (I love lists…):
- German living in New Zealand
- Mother of two
- Animal lover – currently 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 bunnies, 3 goats, 2 ducks and 7 chickens
- University degree; Bachelor of Business Analysis Major: Accounting
- Entrepreneur – Virtual Assistant – Online Marketing Strategist – turned Life Coach for women entrepreneurs and aspiring ones who want to follow their passion and purpose and live life on their own terms.
Overall – I’m all about living life on my own terms. When someone says “this is how you ought to do it” I cringe together inside and need to challenge that statement by doing it my own way.
I want to stay true to myself – my values are Honesty, Respect and Integrity. I don’t believe in lying or “making the truth prettier” – if you ask me for my opinion you will get it, for me that is part of showing respect.
Over the past few years I’ve immersed myself in the online business world and invested quite a bit of money in my own professional as well as personal development. I’m a Marie Forleo B-School alumni as well as several other online courses. At the beginning of 2016 I’ve participated in an ICF approved coach training and have allowed myself to truly follow my passion and purpose.
Since then, I’ve stepped away from my VA business and are fully concentrating on my 1:1 coaching practice as well as an online course creation – The Rulebreakers’ Academy (watch this space for more info).
Here is the long version if you’re inclined to find out more:
I’m mother of two – my daughter Imogen is 7, my son Rafael is 5.
Originally from Germany – I’ve been living with my kiwi-partner in New Zealand for over 10 years now. Despite all this time here, I’m still a foreigner in this country and face my challenges with this every single day – but at the same time I’m loving it!
After I completed my university degree majoring in Accounting (of all things, right) I turned my back to the corporate world as I absolutely knew that that was never going to be my world. Plus where was the point in being a young mum (I was 23 when I had my daughter) and then being away, chasing my career all day. I was looking for something that would fulfill me, that would harness my skills and talents that would give me the feeling that I’m helping others and that would give me flexibility to be there for my children and my animals (I have a few) and live the life I always wanted to.
A few years ago, I came up with this super unique and creative idea of helping entrepreneurs with their “admin” stuff. I love that kind of things and I love supporting others with it. I had a few friends who were running their own businesses struggling with keeping up with “those” tasks. Quickly I discovered that there was an entire industry offering this and have been for over a decade or so. Never mind, I did it anyway. It fit my talents and passion and I figured it would be fairly easy to get going. So I started my own Virtual Assistant business. Fast forward a couple of year, I had specialised in Online Marketing Strategies and had a bunch of fantastic clients who I loved working with.
Although my VA business did really well – I knew there was something else for me. Something that was waiting for me to pick it up, create it and put it out to the world to help others do the same. At the beginning of 2016 I finally answered this calling and enrolled in an ICF approved coach training. I “fired” all my VA clients a couple months later allowing myself to fully invest in my new coaching business and online course creation. I truly gave myself permission to follow my purpose and passion, to truly live life on my own terms. And this is where I’m at now.
